Ronnie started T-Ball through the YMCA program. He goes every Thursday night for an hour. During that hour, they have a practice for 20 minutes, then they have a "game" with another team for the remaining 40 minutes. For the games, each team bats all the way through the lineup - everyone takes a turn hitting the ball and running to first. They advance 1 base each time a new hitter is up. When the last person in the lineup hits, everyone runs home. Then, they are in the outfield. It is hilarious to watch them. During the first "game", all of the kids ran straight to the bench from third base. When they are in the outfield, they all run to the ball whenever it is hit - regardless of where it is hit to. AND, they all drag their feet through the infield to kick up the dirt. Ronnie wore a hole in the toe of his shoe after only 3 practices! It's fun to watch him - and to be involved in an outdoor sport.
