Our Family's History

My photo
Our family started on November 1, 2003 when Doug and Lauri got married. We added to our family on August 7, 2005 with the arrival of Ronnie. We live in Shakopee, MN and enjoy going to the gym, the movies, karate, and Papa's (and Nana's) cabin in McGregor on weeekends.

Fourth of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend up at the cabin with Nana, Papa, Uncle Mike, Auntie Cissy, Keaton and Kiki. Mike, Cissy and Keaton had been up for a week - and when we finally made it up, Ronnie and Keaton were ready for some cousin time! We had FABULOUS weather and really enjoyed the time we spent with them.

Auntie Cissy came up with a great idea - she put the Little Tykes slide on the dock, and Ronnie and Keaton would slide down it in to the lake. The boys literally did this over-and-over-and-over again for HOURS.

Uncle Mike took Keaton and Ronnie on a 4-wheeler ride. They had a great time. Auntie Cissy made pizza dough, and the boys made their own pizzas. Keaton really likes black olives and kept taking them off of Ronnie's pizza and eating them when Ronnie wasn't looking. It was pretty funny!

We spent some time on the boat - the boys took turns with Uncle Mike and Aunt Cissy on the tube. It took us a bit to figure out the best way to sit in the tube so that it wouldn't submerge... but once we did, Keaton had a blast. Ronnie liked getting in the boat and jumping out of it and swimming to the shore. Here's a photo of him with Daddy and Papa.

The Dahlberg Family - a great 4th of July photo!

Big Sandy Lake has a GREAT fireworks show. We headed over to the Kemp's house and went out on their pontoon boat to the middle of the lake. There were literally, a hundred + boats on the lake. And, the fireworks didn't disappoint the crowd!
Here is Ronnie with the Kemp Boys - Alec and Ryan. Alec and Ryan had some AWESOME 4th of July sunglasses.
